Workagotchi

Privacy policy

Effective October 2026 · Draft

Workagotchi turns your activity into XP for a virtual creature. We built it so your health data never leaves your iPhone. This policy explains exactly what stays on your device, what is uploaded, and how to delete it.

Health data stays on your device

With your permission, the app reads steps, workouts, sleep, active energy, and (during workouts you start on Apple Watch) heart rate from Apple Health. It turns them into XP on your iPhone. Raw Health data is never uploaded to our servers, never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with anyone.

Workouts you start in the app are saved to Apple Health so they appear alongside your other activity.

What is uploaded, and only if you sign in

Signing in with Apple is optional. If you never sign in, nothing is uploaded. If you sign in to add friends, we store:

Friends you add can see your creature's name, species, stage, total level, and XP. Nobody else can. Leaderboards never show your real name.

Website waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and use it only to tell you about the launch.

Service providers

We use Supabase to host the database and sign-in, and Vercel to host this website. They process data only to provide these services. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking.

Deleting your data

Not medical advice

Workagotchi is for motivation and fun. It is not a medical device and doesn't diagnose, treat, or give health advice.

Children

Workagotchi is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
